PLATINUM Workshop C2 on Inquiry Based Learning

Date: February 21 – February 24, 2019
Location: Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM)
Country of Venue: Spain
Partner countries: Czech Republic, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, United Kingdom, and Ukraine

Description

During the workshop, the main issues of research on the basis of a three-layer model of research practice were considered. The participants got acquainted with various ways of organizing mathematical communities in which university lecturers have the opportunity to consider the peculiarities of research teaching and teaching of mathematics. The participants of the meeting reviewed and discussed a number of cases that promote the study of mathematics through a research approach with the use of digital resources and will be implemented in the educational process of educational institutions involved in the project. In addition, the issue of implementation of case studies for students with special needs was presented to the participants of the meeting. During the meeting, the researchers reviewed the methods and materials for the professional development of lectures, which will be implemented during the workshops of the international summer school, which will focus on research training.

Representatives of all PLATINUM project partners attended this workshop.
